Yet the features that enable cranes to move heavy loads and maneuver around construction and industrial sites can put their operators -- and others -- in real danger.
A modern mobile crane is a sophisticated piece of technology. For its safe and effective use, an operator must know how to properly handle complex steering, suspension, counterweight and lift systems.
AME, Inc., understands this concept and we have made initial and on-going training an absolute requirement for the professionals who operate our cranes.
AME, Inc., has developed an in-house, crane operator safety, training and certification program that exceeds industry standards.
- In-house Safety Coordinator
- Entry-level and annual crane operator training (160-hour field/classroom training and testing program, the best in the industry)
- Mandatory drug testing program
- Third-party annual equipment inspection
- In-house equipment maintenance and custom fabrication facility
- Qualified estimators and dispatchers to ensure the right crane for the job.
Our program is designed to provide:
- Basic instruction for the safe operation of hydraulic and conventional cranes
- Basic instruction on the essential principals for safe load handling-determining load capacity, load weight, load placement and rigging
- Development of these skills through demonstration and practice
- Assistance in the creation of a safe working environment
- Verification and certification of completion (160 hour program, field and written testing requirements)
